The CT Guidebook (9th edition) and Databook (7th Edition) have both proven useful to CT travelers.
CURRENT EDITION OF THE GUIDES. Proven as helpful to nearly all CT travelers are the CT Guidebook and CT Databook. The Guidebook is more comprehensive, includes road access information, and is good for trip planning. Because it is so big and heavy, most purchasers choose to leave the Guidebook with an at-home support person who also needs a guide to effectively follow along and support the traveler. The Databook covers most of the info people need along the Trail, including the all-important water sources and a lot more. FOR THE 2020 TRAIL SEASON, THE 9TH EDITION GUIDEBOOK AND 7TH EDITION DATABOOK WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE CURRENT VERSIONS. More info on both of these guides is available via ColoradoTrail.org.
