Package Deal: CT Collegiate Loop Bundle

Current 2021 edition, covers the entire 160-mile loop, the CT Collegiate West and CT Collegiate East, including all reroutes opened.

The CT offers two alternative routes in Colorado's Sawatch Range, looping around the Collegiate Peaks. The 82-mile "Collegiate West" forms a western complement to the other alternative, the 78-mile "Collegiate East" route on the eastern side of the Collegiate Peaks. The 160-mile Collegiate Loop stretches from Twin Lakes, southwest of Leadville, to south of Monarch Pass, southwest of Salida. It is popular for multi-day, hiking or horse riding trips. (Much of the Collegiate West is not open to cyclists.)

Loop travelers can park at one of several access points along the east or west route and avoid shuttling vehicles.  There are also good resupply spots – Twin Lakes, Buena Vista, Mount Princeton Hot Springs, Monarch Pass, and Salida – along the route.

The most up-to-date, official CT Databook. It takes the place of all previous editions, containing information not covered in earlier versions.

Pocket-sized including water sources and reliability, the CT Databook is the "CliffsNotes" version of the CT Guidebook. Users like carrying it and referring to it on the Trail.

Databook 8 is lighter and thinner than the waterproof 7th Edition. The 8th Edition of the CT Databook builds on the usefulness of previous editions beginning with an end-to-end refinement of the Trail survey data, leading to mileage changes throughout the Databook. Key features have been corrected, particularly those that pertain to intersections and water sources, and the book has been revised to include all Trail reroutes. Resupply towns information has been rewritten and made current.

The Databook answers your questions, including: How far is the next water source and how reliable is it? How many miles? What elevation? Where can I resupply? Information is presented in an easy-to-understand system of key words, symbols, maps and elevation profiles for each of the Trail segments.

Many users choose to buy both the CT Databook (for the Trail) and the CT Guidebook (to plan their trip, use in the automobile, and often to leave behind with a support person).
