Description
Julie’s style is inspired by the Arts & Crafts Movement (1880-1920) and the WPA National Parks posters of the 1930s and 1940s. She paints with gouache on illustration board and really captures the essence for those who have fallen deeply in love with Colorado. With simple and flat shapes of color, her work is a representation of how we remember a time or place. The viewer gets a warm glow of recognition to commemorate their connection to nature, allowing their personal experiences to fill in the gaps. It sparks a remembrance, a flood of memories, a desire to rediscover, or go and explore someplace new.
