‘Elk Creek Vista’ Matted CT Print

Perhaps the most iconic view along the entire Colorado Trail, this is the ‘Elk Creek Vista’ from the Continental Divide in CT Segment 24 above Silverton. This beautiful matted print of Julie Leidel’s original Colorado artwork was created in partnership with The Colorado Trail Foundation.

Each giclée reproduction print comes with an off-white mat and backer board.

Choose from three sizes (in inches):

  • 5×7 print (mat fits an 8×10 frame)
  • 8×10 print (mat fits an 11×14 frame)
  • 11×14 print (mat fits a 16×20 frame)

Julie’s style is inspired by the Arts & Crafts Movement (1880-1920) and the WPA National Parks posters of the 1930s and 1940s. She paints with gouache on illustration board and really captures the essence for those who have fallen deeply in love with Colorado. With simple and flat shapes of color, her work is a representation of how we remember a time or place. The viewer gets a warm glow of recognition to commemorate their connection to nature, allowing their personal experiences to fill in the gaps. It sparks a remembrance, a flood of memories, a desire to rediscover, or go and explore someplace new.

SHIPMENT NOTE: While most orders ship in a single package, your Matted Print will ship in a sturdy cardboard envelope, and MAY ARRIVE SEPARATELY FROM OTHER ITEMS.
