Description
- Lighter and Thinner – This 8th Edition Databook is both lighter and thinner than the waterproof 7th Edition. It is printed on sturdy paper but we recommend carrying it in a ziploc bag.
- Water Sources and Reliability – It covers all known water sources including ones not covered in previous editions and includes reliability symbols that indicate seasonality.
- Trail Reroutes – It tracks all the recent trail reroutes.
- From-Denver Mileages – This compact book includes the mileages from the Denver end. These updated mileages will pair well with the updated CT App from Atlas FarOut “Guthook” Guides. (Previous Databook editions will not pair well with the Guthook App.)
- Entire Colorado Trail – The pocket guide covers every inch of The Colorado Trail, including the CT Collegiate East and CT Collegiate West portions of the CT Collegiate Loop. A glance and you’ll know what’s ahead.
- Bicycle Routes – It includes maps and detail for all five bicycle wilderness detours, guiding cyclists along the 540-mile CT cycling route.
- Updated Maps – The pocket-sized book presents revised and up-to-date color maps that detail the updated mile points.
- Elevation Profiles – Each trail segment includes a precise elevation profile helping travelers gauge the effort required. Bicycle detours also have elevation profiles.
- Resupply Towns – The Databook covers each of the resupply locations, how far they are from the CT and services available there, etc. Town information has been completely updated to include current hostels and maildrop possibilities and more.
- Corrections – Corrections have been made throughout, improving on the previous edition.
- Feature Descriptions – Readers will appreciate the robust, mile-by-mile features along the trail. Carried over from the previous edition are the nearby fourteeners and where on the CT you’d diverge for each of them. There are also other points of interest, as well as road names and numbers.
